Personally, I think everyone voted NO feels threatened that “their” forum is being taken away. I have yet to hear a valid logical reason why it shouldn’t be renamed to just “Southeast”. All I see is blind loyalty. Even the argument that the forum should stay Florida because they get the most parties is bad logic and I’ll tell you why. Is the reason why Florida appears to have so many parties because they have an entire forum to themselves and people feel more comfortable posting under it? NC, SC, and GA combined have the same population as FL and that’s still excluding all other states east of the Mississippi. If you’re going to vote NO don’t insult me by giving some quasi-intellectual reasoning as to why.
Finally, I think we're forgetting the point of all this is not to decide what's a better looking name but to avoid confusion and include a wider range of TAs. Yes, FL/Southeast is redundant but it serves the originally intended purpose. It’s a compromise I can live with. |
ohhh frisky are we  ,... dude,.. im just pushing buttons like i said many posts ago,... again i do repeat that i care less what this forum is called,... its the people and music not a forum that makes us "together",.. the forum is just a means to bring us together,... i feel as if we are all passionate about our answers b/c we all love this forum so much b/c it has brought us all so many good friends and memories so regardless of what its called that wont change any of that,... so call it whatever anybody likes and we can just use the FLTA, AtlTA, or SCTA, or whatever TA to just signify us personally...
