vidro isnt going anywhere. he just signed long term with the expos. cabrera is doing shitty this year and is a FA. he probably will not re-sign.
as for jeter being great in october, this is very true. *BUT* have we ever seen jeter go into october after having a season like the one he's had so far? nope. so who knows. this could carry over. i see jeter ending the season around .270 or .280... a far cry from his typical .300+ ba.

ken singleton is a fuckign retard. "i think arod is as good as scott rolen at third base." can this guy be any more pro-yankee, anti-every other team? i bet in the past he's said jeter was a better SS too.

ken griffey junior. man... if this guy never got hurt, he probably would've been looked at as one of the greatest of all time. he would most likely have 600 home runs by now, at age 35. it sucks. oh well, dude's got 17 as of now. if only he could get the batting average up. but sean casey more than makes up for griff's average.

heh an interviewer of mine on friday had pictures of him and his daughter at shea at a mets game. i asked him if he was a mets fan and he said, yes he is. he then asked me if i was as well. i responded with a yes and told him i was going to the game that night (ice cube tray night against the marlins!). he said to me "it's really easy to root for the yankees because they win so much. it takes a person of real character to root for the mets."
i hope i get the job.

see where being a mets fan can get you.
BTW, the mets took philip humber as their 1st round pick, number 3 overall. i checked the video they have up on mlb.com. the scout definitely caught him on a bad night cause he was all over the place and the batters got hit after hit off of him. BUT, he has one of the nastiest curves i've seen in a long time. reminds me of barry zito's, but it's not 12-6, it's 11-5. nasty stuff. and his change was also ridiculous. it has so much movement. starts out of the strike zone and just bites right back in. NASTY. if you watch the video, it's the two pitches right after he gives up that double. first the curve, then the change. WOW.
