Did O'Neal or Artest get seriously injured? Thought so. They were a healthy team, and their only player that was injured, who would have some sort of contribution, is Jamaal Tinsley. But you seriously think the Pacers would of beat the Pistons if Tinsley wasn't injured? If O'Neal or Artest were injured, THEN you can make an excuse. Plus, this is a stupid assumption anyways. The fact is that the Pistons beat the Pacers, and they weren't close to beating them - they beat them.

The Mavs absolutely dominated Detroit in the regular season, because they dont have any inside game that Detriot is so good defending. They just shot over them.
You're now a dumb east coast sucking fucktard. |
According to this post, you have no knowledge of basketball. The regular season does not reflect the outcome in the playoffs because the playoffs is TOTALLY ON ANOTHER LEVEL OF PLAY, and teams have to drastically step up their game. The Timberwolves were 3-1 versus the Lakers in the regular season I believe, and who won that series in the playoffs? The Mavericks undoubtedly have one of the best offensive games in the league, but their defense is HORRIBLE. It was the reason why they lost so many games than they were expected. Shooting is a lower percentage shot than driving in, and shooting only won't get you anywhere in the playoffs. You have to rely on post skills in the playoffs, and that applies to the regular season too. The Piston's defense would crush the Mavericks, and their dynamic offense would seal the deal. Why does everyone say "defense wins championships?" If the Lakers played good defense versus the Pistons, the outcome would of obviously been different.
