I would have to say that I am agnostic. Its kinda hard for me to believe that there is a God when there are so many different versions of religion. How do you know what one is the right one? And if there really is a God (or whatever you believe in) why wouldn't every person believe in just it? I don't know though, I can't completely take one side yet.

i talked to my brother and he said that albert eistien was not a thiest but a deist. him along with other scientific big thinkers.

de·ism (dzm, d-)
n.
The belief, based solely on reason, in a God who created the universe and then abandoned it, assuming no control over life, exerting no influence on natural phenomena, and giving no supernatural revelation.

as if god just "wound up the clock" and let it go from there

Right on the money proxi. Thats exactly what i think. Its reall just something to protect them like kids who have an imaginary friend or something. Thats just my opinion though. Dont skoot me for it

that's a clear example of ignorance and lack of atention!
if U would have read some of the posts in the thread U would have noticed that we all deny religion. yet if God would exist, religion would still be made by man. so the argument doesn't stand...

about the "one good reason why a god should exist", it's maybe the worst reason someone gave in this thread. U R free to believe that God does not exist; yet, be ready to back it up. or, as God is something untouchable, at least use some better arguments into prooving Ur point.

sorry if I seem too harsh. but let me be the bitch - especially when I'm right!

You're kidding, right?

Give me one good argument why a god DOES exist? This is the typical bullshit one can expect to hear from god-believers. People who claim to have seen shit like Big-foot are laughed at and discredited, while billions believe in a fucking pie in the sky boogie man? Give me a break.

When there is no evidence of something-- and in this case, that's not an exaggeration, there is NONE WHATSOEVER-- you don't just blindly believe in it. God is that almighty, omnipotent and ominous being who is the merely imaginary tool of the greatest method of mind control ever created.

Believe as you will. Some people will take the word of a child molester in a funny hat if it contains anything semblant to overtly religious tones.

Depends on what you call evidence, if you are looking for a paper that came from the heaven and that is says, HI, im god, and i do exist, cheers! then you wont find it.

For some people what they feel is enough evidence.

Ok so im completely out of the loop on this thread, but i have to say that this is one of the main reasons i dislike organized religion. Beyond just making people feel bad about themselves through an impossible attempt at complete morality, there is also a tendency for people to believe that things happen to them because its Gods will, and not because they worked hard, or for the matter, screwed up. I think that I am responsible for all the crap in my life. The structure of our society and interactions that make lives unbelievably good or shitty. As nice as it would be for some all loving, forgiving dude up above not only controlling EVERYTHING on the planet, but paying attention just seems ludicrous...late/

It's nice to see ppl still find this thread...
I agree with biznology on his point, there really isn't anyone that has programmed us beforehand, and knows everything. this gets U to the point that God is just playin' with us; what is the purpose of existance then? why are we here? (oops, these are questions for a more philosophic thread...)

many say God influences all that we do, all that we live; it sounds like a C++ source code, everything known beforehand... what is this, Sims?
