Well, 50 years is a lot of time in NHL (Rangers last previous Cup win was 1954 I think). I think that STILL stands as the longest Cup drought by an NHL team, am I correct? I am pretty sure that if you put a lot of money in the team, like Rangers did, spoiling the salaries of players from that point in time, you can get results. So my point is, maybe in another 50 years or so, Red Sox will finally put together a PERFECT team and win the friggin World Series. Red Sox do not hold the longest World Series title drought, you know. All the Red Sox legends will then resurrect and go to Fenway park and celebrate ... You know, Halloween ... May I live to see the day ... Boston will be a city of love, the happiest city in the world, every Red Sox player on that winning team will be forever remembered ... kids in Boston schools will be taught to memorize the team roster by heart in order to pass high school ... blablablabla ...
EDIT: Red Sox are facing elimination, tied 4-4 in the 11th ... will there be another Red Sox home run to win the game?
