So i'm really depressed from watching the news on the disaster...they just announce that 44,000 have died now...and they throw in a little comedy to cheer me up. This story came right after:

"Supermodel/Cover girl Petra Nemcova survives tsunami!!! Nemcova clung to a palm tree for 8 hours."

Har. That was a good laugh.

Probably more will die in the coming days unless Aid is rushed over ASAP.

Who knows what kind of epidemic will be unleashed in Indonesia.

Anyone know how high were those tsunamis? cause in the video they are already collapsed.
Also, how many suffered from the quake itself ? was it just the tsunamis that killed people ? cause the epicenter was in the ocean

well i know there were some islands really close to the quake. im sure they felt something. but most people died from building and constructs collapsing onto them when an earth quake hits. if the islands by the quake were just villages and such, i dont know if too many people would die from that.

the first wave wasnt that much bigger but as i said.. the land everywhere around there is sooo low... and the quake was under water but moved one of indias islands that was closest like 36 metres or something no "shaking" damage was made only the waves..

on one coast line it destryod everything for a strip of 20km and 0.5km into the country..

but imagine if the land is only like a few metres high and a wave with that forse on only 3 metres... damn..
3 days and still 1500 swedes missing.. crazy shit..
