holly shit. do you guys have nothing better to do with your days than argue wether or not ory aka "all talk" can produce on par with ASOT (which in my opinion is sub par anyways..... but its only an OPINION)

first point: WHO THE FUCK CARES.... we like trance, he doesn't his loss

Secont point: why do people always make these inane threads that always turn into prog elitists vs techno elitists vs trance lovers.... is it like you people need assurance that it is ok to still love listning to trance???? cause if you do i give my blessing and htat should be good enough

its this elitist attitude that has ruined so many forums over the net. dont trash this one. if you want to act like an asshole, take it over to trance.nu, and ruin their forums more.... dont bring it here.

Well my journey with edm started 6 or 7 years ago it started out with atb stuff then darude then eventually things began to propagate and i got to love tiesto (when he was tiesto) i was so mad about his sets i got addicted to his livesets and because of that music i started considering djing maybe ...i got also to like armin so much but before i got to know him so well iio - rapture (john creamer and stephane k remix) hit me so hard i love this tune till this day ..then i got to listen to some of digweeds sets and i really like how unpredictable the music is ..and how there is so much greater room for innovation in that music ..it's more ellaborative and that was what trance lacked at that time progressive house was more appealing ..and since the year rapture was released i lost track of any trance music and i really hated it and what made me hate it more was paul van dyk .... i heard a liveset from the man and i decided it's never gonna be the same ...till recently i got into an argument with a trance fan at college ..i was like "Trance is dead man u still listening to that shit" he replies "Armin is alive" am like wtf are u talking about and i listen to a recent asot ...I reconsidered my thoughts ...Maybe no genre is bad but it's the flow .. the past years were house music time nourishment till now and it's going on ..but trance is still alive with some people and armin is definately one of them ..Not many are available and thats why many ppl hated trance it's not what it used to be
n.b i need some help getting back !! this is my first post since many years ne help is acknowleged ..am staring to dig back my trance mix tapes (it's good to get the good from all)

Yea I understand what you mean.

I'm watching a Tiesto video from like 5 years ago right now and it's making me miss his old style

pleased to hear that!....Trance has been around for ages, and obviously people strive for a new stuff, try to diversify their tastes, to expand their tastes...it's the right thing to do, I have done that. I listen to all sorts of EDM music, and not just EDM, but rock, indie as well. I like proggy, house and tekno, but Trance has always been my number one, it just appeals to me most.....trance is good,if it makes me feel good, why should I stop listening to it? If simply to conform to peer pressure? I think not then...

60,000 people voted in the poll so i reckon if we got enough people to vote we could get a dj into the top 100, but thats not likely to happen seen as the last major forum poll we had only got 500 votes

Sounds and tastes evolve. I used to like strictly funky house eg. Bad Boy Bill, Richard Humpty Vision. Then I turned to more commercial style trance and then to trance and now I'm more into house.

Well, since Ory is so "elitist" I think we might have the best EDM producer in our era...Too bad he's too good to put his "knowledge" on future songs that will "revolutionize" electronic music.
