Those are YOUR sociology courses and YOUR experineces- can you entertain the notion that maybe my experiences and information learned differ? I took a variety of history and sociology courses that dealt with this period of time because it was an interest to me, although some of the materials were text books, most of the materials were primary texts. If anything, the materials were based predominantly on the western view of the experience, b/c europeans could read and write english at that time. It's a cultural fact that europeans raised their children in patriarchal family units and had a strong sense of property, whereas aboriginals cared little about paternity and property and raised children as tribe. This is documented by europeans themselves.


I try very hard to keep an open mind about your posts, although I may not agree with some of your opinions, I don't try to belittle your education or knowledge base. Perhaps I am being naive but I would expect that same in return from you.

I wasnt trying to belittle your education at all. I'm Sorry if it came off like that. I was more or less belittling the education system as a whole of which we are both apart of. I don't question your wisdomI just question the way classes are taught in certain courses at school. Again, sorry if you thought it was a personal attack because it wasnt.
