Sorry but no one deserves to make $25 an hour to drive a bus. There are lots of jobs that pay much much less where more skills and more interaction with wierdos occur.

You will never convince me that driving a bus deserves $25 an hour.

What about in the future when inflationary pressures drive down the value of the dollar?

Anyone see those WeMoveToronto.ca ad's posted all over subway stations, buses, etc? What a frickin joke!! They're actually trying to get the public on their lameass side

Here's an idea: stop raising fares and lowering service...maybe then majority of the public will care!

let me just expand on this thought in a bit more detail.

if you're earning $25/hr and complaining about not being paid enough, well, i've got 2 words for you... FUCK YOU!

i don't care if you've got family, kids to feed, mortgage to pay for, bills to take care of, etc... earning $25/hr you should be more than comfortable taking care of all of the above. Now, instead of complaining I'd give them 3 choices - either 1) stop spending so much money, you stupid fucken idiot (you don't need a half a million dollar house, 4 cars, vacation every 2nd weekend down to Miami, all the luxury and shit) or 2) quit your job at TTC and get another job that will pay you more (good luck with that, given the experience at TTC) or do what most of us do when we NEED more money 3) get a second job on top of that one. When you consider those options, I guess they don't have it that bad after all...

If they're complaining about their wages, shit, what am I supposed to be doing with my situation then (being paid $10/hr to move other people's cars and take care of them while they are at work or wherever)? I should be burning City Hall down or something.

Fucken complainers...

Id love to see privatization. I've had comfy government jobs that paid me well over $30 an hour to do fuck all but at least i knew that it wasnt reality and was grateful for every penny. But seriously we need to re arrange how public services are distributed

1. you're worth whatever someone is willing to pay you

2. regardless of hourly wage everyone expects an increase as the
cost of living goes up

3. there's no rule that says your hourly wage is a reflection of how
hard you actually work

arguing over how much someone's job is actually worth is like a dog chasing it's tail....i remember making $3 an hour and thinking people at $10 an hour were over paid it's only natural.....

in my experience of seeing many different types of jobs, both low and high paying, some easy and some hard, paying a bus driver $25 an hour is not out of line in my opinion...

it's not out of line, but i've seen enough people feed and support their families on half that hourly rate (my father included), so them complaining about NOT GETTING enough money is just them complaining for MORE money to keep up with their standards of living and then some. F U still stands.
