one thing you're all forgetting
ableton was designed much more for liveact then it was for either djing or standard production

as such, djs are unlikely to be the ones to use it to the fullest.

I agree with that.
A friend of mine once did a live gig where he had chopped all his songs to loops. He then recreated his songs with Ableton. It was pretty cool seeing it used that way.

I'm sure most of the people bashing ableton have never seen a DJ use it, and have never tried to use it themselves.

I played around with the demo using the samples from Airdrawndagger off Sasha's site...and it is NOT easy to acheive a good sound right off the bat.

Anyone who has listened to Fundacion NYC vs. Involver (both mixed via Ableton AFAIK) can tell how much BETTER Sasha has gotten at using the software.

Fundacion NYC, mixing wise, is a work of art...you could NEVER acheive this sound with conventional tables. And the fact that Sasha can do this LIVE at gigs is mind blowing.

purists are narrow minded. so their opinions are irrelevant to me! i love incorporating classical stuff into sets!
