Opinion by definition is a strong belief held with confidence but not sustained by proof. One could go so far as to say the world is run by opinion.

you really have to stop discussing your political views and realize that some of our friends could have died or got hurt in something like this.

we all know why it happened and who did it. lets just stop the mundane discussion. i think most of us know that Islam is not to blame for this and neither is Bush. We have to realize that there are people in all races that are animals.

Opinions are like assholes. Everybody has one, and most of them are full of shit.

I dunno Marg, I think that kind of discussion is warranted...and will inevitably get people riled up. comes with the turf I guess.

I read elsewhere that two more undetonated bombs were discovered in London today.

it's warranted, but here it's the same debate made by the same people here which eventually leads to no end .. if someone actually changed their opinion that would be amazing

...and this is what people keep forgetting.
If I may be so bold to say that the terrorists' "religion" isn't even close to the core belief of what the religion intented.
That may sound obvious, but it's an exuse used a little too handily by those that warped it into something they can use as justification.
Their asinine actions however, shouldn't include those innocents outside their contorted view of reality.

i've been following this on the bbc website all day at work as well...38 dead! unbelievable to see these pics of london, whereas we are so used to seeing them from the non-western world.

crazy, how now all of a sudden it hits home for 'us' and that there is such huge media coverage immediately! what about the rest...?

i used to work near Russell Square in 2001 just before 9/11. just thinking back now, i remember that London was on high alert after the attacks b/c written material was found as proof that London's financial district would be next, indicating similar targets. but then the whole thing with anthrax started ... people in England were concerned about 'chemical warfare' and the 'invisible enemy' i.e. water contamination and such ... but then slowly, over time, life started getting back to 'normal'. it does not surprise me, however, b/c if you look back, these various terrorists attacks throughout the world have always happened after some years have passed ... sort of like, letting the dust settle, until the next utterly shocking event. i guess it was 'time' for another warning...

oh the irony of it all ...

i, personally, am extremely shaken ... not knowing what to think anymore. at the end of the day, it's all a political game where it's always the innocent civillians who are the victims. it is so disgusting and sickening! unfortunately, the real power is in the hands of the few (one pathetic American pretzel-choking monkey-puppet whose shoulder is rubbed by the British yo-yo amongst some other spineless morons) and they dictate how our world revolves. we are merely the hamster in the wheel. ... i am deeply, deeply saddened and shocked. ... i guess human rights really only do exist in the form of lip-service and on paper ... and 'life' goes on as it always has since the beginning of time ...

RIP to those how lost their lives in this macabre game.

How many more innocent people have to die before people accept that there's a problem within Islam?

Yes, it's true that 95-99% of Muslims are against terrorism.... but it's also true that 95-99% of terrorism is carried out by Muslims!

I suggest you read this book and visit the website:

The best way to honour the victims of this tragedy is to ensure that it never happens again.
