An adult forum????
If it really was I wouldn't have been banned a year ago. Let me start off by saing that I've been a member of Tranceaddict since Feb 2003. I had to register this new name for using the F word a couple of times on a old thread about a year ago. I got banned from a Moderator for using the F word.
I was just trying to make my point on how the "rules" don't apply to certain people on tranceaddict.

I know what you mean about Xpander. It didn't quite catch my ear at first either. Melodically, it seems rather bland. However when I took a more objective look at what Xpander was, I began to like it a lot more, and not because I was forcing myself too.
First of all, I think the reason some people call it a milestone of EDM is, because it is pure EDM. Its not live drums, mixed with an electric guitar and some vocals, its pure electronic music. All of the sounds are electronic in their nature and not in the sense of electro, but in the sense that they are a new sonic frontier and not an emulation of a live instrument.
Along these lines, I also notice how the production has this unity as if all the sounds were different sides of one idea. The melodies are also pure EDM. They are not adaptions of classical harmonies, or mainstream melodies. When that lead first comes in before the kick, there is an amazing vibe that is pure trance. It conveys this abstract state of mind that seems to demonstrate what EDM is all about.
I definatly think Xpander deserves all the hype, though in the end, its still a matter of preference...
