I'm sure that the couple of dozen or so "COR Whores" - the ones complaining about the moderation here - will not be missed by the rest of the community.

Most of the people who read COR miss the COR whores who stop posting when they stop posting.

If the drunk threads take up that much bandwidth (which I doubt), delete them once they've served their purpose.

I am not criticizing the moderators as a group. I criticize a lack of consistency.

And again, if the mods are enforcing rules...what are the rules? Where are they? Am I stupid? Am I the only TA who doesn't know what the rules are? In any society, you can't enforce the laws if the laws aren't known. If someone is banned and they honestly have no idea why they are banned, something is wrong.

The PPD room seems to manage fine without much mod action and thats a pretty sharp area with hot tempers and deep idiological battles. If ppl can tolerate being offened there why not here?

Echo's point is you have no idea that ppl are complaining about you until you're banned. With the subjective "rules" tighting of late one truely doesn't know what is off limits. In the past it was pretty clear, no spam, no porn and no flame wars.

What is spam? I honestly don't know. Cuz people called my thread a spam thread but in my opinion, the bulk of the spam therein was posted by a mod (Ste).

i think that at this point, TA already has useless, impulsive posts and threads... it has been like that for a long time. But I believe that TA (especially in the COR) has a tendency to self-regulate. I don't think chaos and impulsive threads will rule the day, by all means, I think what Igottaknow said was perfect.
