it does work every way, you should know that of me by now.

rudeness and abuse only brings more of the same which then ends up in the usual flame war and closure / deletion of threads.

It does prove something, something which nobody else seems to mention, but I've been shouting about for months.

In other words: such a small percentage of clubbers vote in the poll (this year it was up to a record 130,000 people, which really is a drop in the ocean) that the result is nowhere near as definitive as people make out, and as we've shown, it's easy to get a respectable placing.
