When i first started seeing my current gf, i set up something on my computer like 6 hours before. She came into my room and i asked her for a hug, whilst hugging i leant over and tapped enter on the keyboard and Savage Garden - Truly madly deeply came on. And i'll never forget the ear to ear suprised smile on her face, we danced to that song and now whenver i hear it it just makes my day 
Also for a present i got a small glass vase, filled it with decorative sand and put a ribbon on the top. I wrote in gold pen over 100 words on 100 pieces of black card...things like "gorgeous" "life changing" ect and mixed them into the sand. Then put a note on the ribbon saying something like "A 100 of your qualities still doesn't describe how great you are"
So on a sad day, she'll randomly pick a card out and it makes her happy for the rest of the day
