Update on Atlético:
Fernando Torres has extended his contract with another year, He already had a contract until 2008 with Atlético, but decided to accept Atléti's new contract aswell.
Atlético is playing Valencia at Calderon tonight.
Atlético de Madrid: Leo Franco; Valera, Pablo, Perea, Pernía; Jurado, Costinha, Luccin, Petrov; Fernando Torres and Mista.
This is the usual Atlético defence, but the question is if Pablo is going to play this game, He's already played the game against Northern Ireland earlier this week. So the question still goes if he's available for tonights game? Replacement is most likely going to be Zé Castro if not.
The midfield looks pretty much the same, but without Gabi who's on the bench, Finally! Costinha will most likely play together with Luccin, but we could also see Maniche, which I highly doubt. Torres and Mista is starting the game, while El Kun will be on the bench alongside a couple of other players, and perhaps get his chance later on in the game.
Valencia: Cañizares, Miguel, Ayala, Albiol, Moretti, Edu, Marchena, Vicente, Silva o Angulo, Villa and Morientes.
Valencia will play without Albelda and Baraja, both players are injured and can't participate in tonights match. I think we can take advantage of Moretti, and the question is still if Albiol can play as well as Albelda does usually, My answer is yes.
Villa & Morientes will be playing together upfront, and Joaquin who hasn't made his debut yet, will most likely be on the bench.
