Joey does great in the beginning, Welker has the game of a lifetime, and the D holds the Pats to 88 first half yards. You would think these would be signs of certain victory? Not with the fins, we blow chunks in the second half and find/invent new ways to lose the game.
And do not blame Joey, he was 100000000000000 times better than Culpepper. Only one of the ints was his fault, and barely. He made the right reads and decisions, did not hold onto the ball for 10 minutes like Pepper-nuts, he hit the open receivers, and did more than enough to put us in a position to be able to win. Dropped passes, missed field goals, dumb penalties and some horrid play calling lost this game.
Oh well thank God Heat season is about to start. | Yeah,,, I agree with ur second paragraph but I mean c'mon. His first game starting against the Pats.
He laid it on them pretty hard. We could have won if we didn't have bad plays by the rest of the team. Joey started off great. Our defense was awesome till about the 4th quarter. We kinda slacked. It was a great first game for Joey. Away + Pats is pretty tough.
His stats were better than Brady's except for the INT.. Passing yards were a huge +++. Something Daunte never does. I say put him in next week.. + the Bye week coming up.. It'll give Joey a better chance as a starter for the rest of the year.
Daunte 2nd string.
