She is the main guest of the whole club. She didn't flip anyone the bird, tell anyone off, she just didn't pose and smile - if you have read anything she has written on her website or said in interviews, you'll know that she doesn't pretend to be happy when she's not, she doesn't make antics that aren't natural. She's not obliged to pose for photos. If it was written into her contract and she then refused, that would be unprofessional.

Fair enough, but it still doesn't hurt to just ask politely to have no more pictures taken if it was obviously bothering her. We obviously won't agree. So we'll just leave it at that.

I don't think any one person can be blamed for the photo issue. Both parties could have done well to practice a little more courtesy and understanding.

Being a dick in response to someone else being a dick never solved any problems.

No, I will agree with you
a little communication never hurt anyone!

but to say she was acting unprofessionally is a bit extreme.

but to say that i was acting unprofessionally is a bit extreme too? if she had handled the situation a little better then she would not have been called a "bitch".

its very simple. dont give me nasty looks when i havent done anything wrong.... i am there to do my job much like she was there to do hers.

You didn't handle it any better by "shoving that flash in her face (or whatever it was you said)", when you could clearly see it was bothering her.

You could have been the bigger person and asked her if she wanted you to stop.

After reading about the "pulling of the bras away from a woman's chest" and the repeated problems with this place, count me out for Lawler on 1/1. Def heading to Sonic and seeing him in Montreal instead.

That's just not kewl, mmmmmmmm k?

you do have a point. but you should've seen how nasty her look was when she first saw my camera before i took the very first pic of her. like she wished i was dead. if she had given me a dirty look after i took a pic, fine. but she did not. i simply looked at her while i was holding my camera and i smiled at her. then she gave me that look. thats when i decided im gonna push her buttons cuz she pushed mine first.

edit: i could understand if she gave people standing at the front of the dancefloor screaming "MISSTRESS BARBARA!" to get her attention for a picture and pull her away from her duties. but when i (and other photographers working that night) are there to do our duties, there is no need to give us dirty looks because we never ask a dj to pose.

You work for the club. Calling one of the club's regular guests a bitch, regardless of whether you think it was warranted or not, is completely unprofessional.

Well, I believe that another person's actions are never reason or justification for you to act the same way. At the end of the day, you're still 100% accountable for the things you do. If someone provokes you, you still have the choice of how you will react. If you're ok with stooping to someone else's level, then it doesn't matter. But from my experience, no good has ever come of that and saying "He/she did it first!" is just a little bit grade 2, isn't it?

regular guests? how many times has she played at TIL? twice?
and if she is a regular guest, she should not have acted that way either. treat others how you want to be treated, no?
im not saying that i am totally right in this situation because i know i could have acted better but why do you think everything she did was "proper"?
