Yeah, see, most of those sets are from a time Tiesto the DJ was bigger than Tiesto the Celebrity. Unsurprisingly, the topics of discussion regarding him were much different then. |
What does, "most of those sets are from a time Tiesto the DJ was bigger than Tiesto the Celebrity" have anything to do with him as a dj? It means nothing. Jealousy will only get you so far. Listen to Tiesto then and now is a little different. But if you can get past the fact taht he does sound different, and let your ears do the speaking, you will learn that he is still as good as he was back then.
The Only difference is the style of music he now plays. Do I perfer the tracks he played in 1998-2002, of course, but if you listen to any of his sets from 2003 till now, you can still tell he has great track selection and he loves what he does. If you cannot hear that, then something is blocking you from hearing the quality Dj tiesto has always been.

Correct and together with the 'old' tracks produced for him, he did made a special combi till 2004, which reached the highest level in fame. after 2004 the tracks are poor qualitied, now he playes a mix with old classics and new styles,....can continue for years

I blame this on his traveling. Ever since he started to travel to South America and parts of Asia, you can hear this style change. I assume the music he heard in those country started to influence his tastes. I perfer if Tiesto would have stuck with the Dutch style of music, you can hear that in his Dutch Dimension 2001 and 2002 sets, but you cannot blame him for liking new music.

Okay, I didn't noticed it that way, but I guess you have a point here. I don't think he's got too far away from his first music style, caus' music in Asia is different and I never heard anything like Samba music in his sets..
I'll hope for some new tunes and next album, which exceeds the quality from the past, maybe he can stop playing, tunes like D4L, ect,ect...
