ok, having my first listen thru
This so far sounds like another enjoyable listen, just like ISOS 5, which i enjoyed, especially the first disc.
I personally like all the sparkly melodies and female vocals, its a nice chill cd to listen to at home or in the car. It's not like a true trance mix cd but tiesto is hardly a true trance DJ anymore.
If you don't like female vocals, stay away. But so far this is just a collection of pretty tame, nice sounding stuff with a heavy emphasis on melodies and female vocals. No real clunkers I don't think, although the Imogen Heap remix totally does not do it justice, and the EnMass and R3Volve mixes are far far superior.
Thumbs up to Glenn Morrison, Deadmau5, Tom Cloud, Maor Levi, and all the nice chill melodic tracks. Thumbs down to the First State track, and all the other ones with the electro basslines. Not what I want to hear from tiesto. We have every other single DJ on the planet, including myself, to play tech house / electro house.
But Nicely done Tijs, an above average 3-3.5ish / 5 for me so far, i will check back to this thread if i hear something i strongly don't like. Way way better than the Elements of Life.
