If you'd have read the post I made the way in which it was intended, you wouldn't be so offended, nor would you see me as a heckler.
Using your terms, you're suggesting that a proper debate can be made out of an apparent rumour. I at no point claimed that you had said it was a proper source - but you in no way literally questioned the material you posted. The moment the topic at hand was challenged by another widespread rumour though, you had seemingly been taken aback and requested a source - then didn't deem another thread as credible.
When a person airs another possibility which has just as valid a source as you did and you completely pass it off since you've grown accustomed to your own 'apparent' findings, you've already lended to the idea that you value the first unreliable source you receive more than the second.
I'd like to re-iterate that there was no 'attack' on you, things like this are telling of human nature.
