It's about damn time that HD-DVD died. I got sick of movies coming out on HD-DVD and not Blu-Ray. Hopefully the film studios will go back and re-release those films on Blu-Ray (ex. American Gangster).

That's not the point, don't be a brick. He's asking why spend more on movies in full HD and lossless audio when he can get DVDs in SD much cheaper. It's not exactly rocket science to see the advantage of Blu-Ray over standard DVD.
