The most questionable aspect of this track to me is the VOCALS! The guitar and more downtempo feel may be partially because its a collab with Shah, and perhaps the melody isn't anything special but really...

This doesn't even appeal to commercial listeners because of how bad the singer is... its like if you took the Nickelback singer and made him worse. Before they release this track, they should get a different singer to completely redo all the lyrics - at least salvage it to some degree. The vocals actually FIT in the Anthem.

Not necessarily. I really don't think it matters much to Armin anymore, and it shows. He's just pumping out another track like The Anthem with cheesy vocals that he knows a certain segment of people will go nuts for. I don't think he was sitting there thinking "what will make me the most money here", but I don't think he was thinking "what kind of track do I really want to make, what do i want to explore" either...


Also, you already said this track was aimed at a target audience to attract more people to his sound. What I'm pointing out is, there are ways of doing this without compromising artistic integrity.
