Aside from the ass shaking lol the show was fu(king awesome! The whole time I was there I was thinking "This is why he is number 1". I think I liked this show better that Above and Beyond, though I am reluctant to admit it. I believe a camera man stepped on a cord or something and the sound went out, and Armin rolled with it, it was like nothing could faze him. The light should could of been cooler, but all in all the show was amazing. I don't think I am going to see a show better than this one for a while, though we'll see what Ferry can do.

Damn...so armin was awesome....now i'm pissed i mised it...
why couldn't I plan better for this....dah same thing happened the first time we were trying to see PVD years back at space and we ended up not going....
Even though we are completely going end of june to PVD, but still
dah now I have to wait forever for armin....and i don't think he'll play anywhere in the US we could go see until WMC next year and then it would be uber packed with people...F***!!!!!!!

*calms down*

But very glad to hear it was a good show. yay for O-town holding it down. Thanks jeffhtg for bringing big acts/names to Orlando. Keep it comin.

P.S. Nice pics raverchikadee.

I have been browsing the Trance Addict forum for some time and finally made a name!!! Thanks for telling me about this show, and thank you Jeff for organizing a great event!!!

As for Armin himself, he is amazing. Very friendly guy who loves to pump up the crowd. Love how he signed autographs at the end!!! Likely I was able to be at the front of the crowd and get one! (I was the guy with the light up shirt

Some Pics:

MY ears are ringing bad from last night. The sound had way to much mid in it. I was not really impressed with the sound that much. But it was a good effort. I got there at 10:30 and walked in when Jimmy Joslin played Deadmau5' remix of "The longest road"

Blake had an incredible opener. He warmed up the crowd real well. I am happy that he came to open for armin. I don't think I could take the transition from Jimmy to Armin. Blake played some really great tunes including:

Cressida - 6AM (Kyau & Albert Remix)
Daft Punk - Around the world (most likely a bootleg of his)
One track sounded like a remix of Deadmau5' "Jaded" Whatever it was it was a real good track!
I would like to get more of his stuff ID'd if anyone knows...

*Blake if you're reading this, incredible job!! You nailed it! And it looked like you had a lot of fun.

Armin played a great set. He played such a variety, and the crowd really was awesome. That is why I love the big acts coming in on weekdays, it really gets rid of riff-raff that way.

FAO gmoney44: I really think that Orlando's show was so much better than Pachita. Wouldn't you agree? I still think Opera was THE place to see Armin on the east coast. Have any tracks to ID from last night?

Armin tracks I remember: (in no particular order)
Imagine intro
Funabashi pres. Saltwater - The Legacy (Alex M.O.R.P.H. Big Drop)
^^^opening track
Rex Mundi vs. Ronski Speed The Perspective Space (Markus Schulz Mashup)
Markus Schulz ft. Andy Moor - Daydream (Original Mix)
Armin van Buuren - Going wrong (Universal Religion Remix)
Armin van Buuren Ft Jennifer Rene - Fine Without You(sied van riel remix)
Cressida - 6AM (Kyau & Albert Remix) <-- heard twice... Armin and Blake both played it remix
Oceanlab - Sirens Of The Sea (Cosmic Gate Vocal Mix)
First State - your own way (First states pounding club mix)
Sia - The Girl You Lost To Cocaine (Sander Van Doorn Remix)
Armin van Buuren - The Sound Of Goodbye
DJ Shah feat. Adriana Thorpe - Who Will Find Me

I could've have sworn I heard a new remix of Sunlounger's "Crawling" maybe a dub of it. If not it was definately a Shah track or remix.

I have a couple vids of Blake and Armin to post soon. I have to see how the sound turned out on them...

I'm from Jax and had never been to Orlando for a show. Got there around 10 and went across the street to a bar with my wife and friends for some drinks. Around 11, we noticed the line was growing and walked on over. We spoke briefly with a few TA's in line before they went on in. Right about that time, Armin's limo pulled up and they parted the line right where we were standing. I got a picture of him as he was getting out of the limo and he noticed my AVB shirt and said "nice shirt" and shook my hand. I had one of the those lame star struck moments and didn't know what to say lol.

Anyway, we made it inside and to the bar for some more drinks just in time to see him come on. It was a little crowded, but that's to be expected in a venue like this. As for the set, I like how he changed it up every now and then throughout the night and didn't just play trance anthems. His mixing was spot on, and the only glitch was when the power to the deck went out a couple hours in. He didn't even flinch and the crowd got right back on the ride. The lighting and sound was ok most of the time, it was hard to hear the highs and some of the vocals. But when that was the worst part of the night, you can't really complain.

At the end of the night he showed some class signing autographs during the last track. When I saw that I ran up and gave him my orange "Holland" shirt to sign. When he saw it, he grinned ear to ear and held it up for the crowd to see, that blew my mind. A perfect ending to a great night! Hope everyone had a blast!

You have to understand that in small venues (-2000 ppl) it is not cost effective to bring in the big player rigs.. HOWEVER. The stuff that was supplied was premium and tuned well ... actually pretty damn flat and SMAART calibrated .. the biggest problem is reflective surfaces in the room (alot of wood in there) which makes the place very reverberant.. I however kind of like the big open sound you find in these classic theatres.. but perhaps thats me.

as far as too much mid.. well yeah.. there are tons of midrange drivers there.. but the system was indeed balanced - flat - and I have the FET charts to prove it

The sound also depended on where I was standing, it was not bad at all where I was.

The mids overpowered the front end of Tabu from the stage to the dancers cage. I know Tabu's normal stuff isn't the greatest to work with, and I thought it sounded great otherwise. Tabu really needs to get a new system in there... That style of venue could like you said have a very unique sounding room.

Disco did a great job on this. I was happy to see there were Screens on the stage as well.

Jeff, do you know where the pics that one photographer was taking will be posted?
