God damn, you got that shit down
Russels is the one on main st right near amherst books and whatnot, right?
Always seen it but never actually been in, worth checking out? |
5.5 years in a college town with not much fondness for lame beer pong / creepy dudes with backpacks / meatheads trying to get laid parties will do that to you. Although, tbh, I've been going to bars only since 2006.
Russels is pretty good - for a store right in town, their prices are not bad. They have good deals on Scotches and Whisky and I like their mixed mystery 6-packs. Good wine selection too. If you want beer though, Spirit Haus is THE (expensive-ish) place.
And I finally found a cigar place - the tiny liquor store on Rt. 9 on the wal-mart/whole-foods side - not so tiny when you walk in, and they carry hookah tobacco too. They sell Romeo Y Julieta cigars, which is confusing, since I thought those were Cuban - maybe they sell the Dominican version.
Pro-tip: if you need booze on Sunday after 6, go to the tiny Rt. 9 liquor store or Liquors 44. Since they're in Hadley, they're open till 11 (mmm, town laws)

Wait, really? A litre and a half for $3.50? |
Yup, something like that. Of course, it doesn't keep longer than about a day in the fridge. Ask me, any beer should be drank right after being open!
I should not know this much about any of these. I need to find a job and do something productive!
