Re: Re: Fear of hell

For me I beleive this life is as close to hell as I'm going to get, but it is all how you value things. After enough pain and torment it almost comes as a welcome backdrop to day to day life.
But obviouslly there are points that are accentuated, like when you break a limb.. I think most of this is due to wankery, seminal discharges, and bad karma - just to give some sense of difference in life - and beyond this the "continuance clause" if your life can end then something new will be created to keep it going. (it just wont necisarily be the old rules, or the way your life use to be)
This is the logical truth - beyond this is illogic and it really doesn't matter.
For me I try to live a good life, and just do what I think is right. For the overall benefit, it will feel right.
I think it may just be prioritizing. I think there are some truths and some people don't like to hear truths, they like to hear what makes their life better. If you make your life better by abandonining truths for the time frame then it is really a mater of perspective.
I think people know what is right innately. If you arn't hurting anyone then what does it matter. You can't lie to god, god will always know.
Am I christian.. no I'm more jewish but not even. I think god is god, and that any god worth beleiving in will be out there to make the world right, it is all perspective.
The church is a social institution - I think that is what historically has kept it going.. its been a backdrop to government and civil society, it just fragmented a little because of social beleif schisms.. its there for basically the same reason to bring people together and help build a community on stable grounds - in a way to give comfort in life and reassurance to the community of ongoing infinite meaning.
For myself I am very alien because I have my own set of beleifs-- I'm a truist and it really doesn't matter. My life will be what it is. This isn't an absence of faith but a conviction and absolute in thatthe world around me helps define how I interact.. there is that scism.
So back to the topic of hell. I have no fear. The closest I've come is sheol. But no there is an absolute I think people adapt to their environments... so a person may adapt to hell....
but overall people will live their life, gods way is gods way.. in the infinite it comes together.. but I'd be deceased if I was static. The old maxim god is dead... almost... well there is still that illogical aspect, that goes to intent of love and wellbeing.... that is it right there I geuss.
I think though adam and eve and the fall of from eden....
it happens how it happens.. why would god let it happen if it wasn't meant to..
