haha... dude, that's awesome. Sounds so much like my situation. I had like 20 people there. I just watched my 2 best friends do it the hard way- one had a huge wedding with like 300 people there, and both he and his woman's family had to have been broke as a fucking joke afterwards.
My other friend's girl had a poor family that couldn't afford anything, and his parents had just shelled out 25 grand for his sister's wedding... so the 2 of them had to pay for it themselves. $30,000. I mean, don't get me wrong it was a beautiful setup, but come on... now's not the time to be spending that kind of money. lol |
Our entire wedding/reception bill came to under $10K out the door. The actual ceremony was cheap, obviously, and my parents covered that. The reception cost about $100/head in attendance, but that included hors d'oerves (sp?), an excellent filet mignon (or alternative) dinner and open premium bar. The venue was relatively inexpensive because it was a restaurant and they were preparing the meals in their own kitchen. A good friend of mine was the DJ and we gave him a few hundred $ and access to food and open bar. Oh, and my parents paid for the reception, too.
Yeah, I made out like a bandit!
