That's the club I thought of when I heard this too. It's in Frankfurt though, not Berlin.

It is risky but it could work. If it does work, it will pay off I think.

...and if it doesn't well...thell just start announcing who's playing. It's not like they have to keep this concept forever.

Yah, but if they book David Morales and think everyone is gonna go apeshit then they are going to get laughed at IMO. It's a big risk and there's gotta be something big behind it for it to pay off.

I'm just really surprised that people are so Stereo obsessed that they would have a good time there no matter who is playing. I have been to many nights that downright sucked and there are several DJs I wouldn't go see if they were free. I wish I could have a good time no matter what, but actually not really. In case you're thinking I'm being negative, I'm not... I'm just being honest.

The problem with this secret DJ thing too, is the cover charge. Is it going to be the same price regardless if it's a local or Danny Tenaglia spinning? Or will the raise the ticket price in the pre-sales, so you kinda figure if it's something big or not.

Example: "Hey it's $35 to get in tonight" compared to "Hey it's $50 to get in tonight", you'll know something's up...

Generally I've had a good time at Stereo - even when I showed up not having any clue to who was playing. I think the time I enjoyed myself the least is when I went for a specific DJ and ended up being disappointed.

Although, it's been awhile since I've been to Stereo, my tastes in music has changed and I tend to be quite a bit more fussy. Sometimes I wish I could go back to that 'new to partying' phase when every night felt like the best night ever

It's a huge festival in NYC that weekend but depending on the timeslots, a DJ can be spinning in NYC during the day and then take the plane and be at Stereo for the after...!!! We will see on sept. 05 !!!!
