apples to oranges maybe...

in my mind, releasing music for profit is worse than simply downloading music illegally. not only are you not giving $ to the original artist, you are making $ on their work.

people begged for the tracks to be released, gimme a break man... that makes it ok?

i guess when you start producing i will blantly rip off your music and release it FOR PROFIT, b/c i can???

Because they don't care, and they can get away with it.

They're not posing the slightest threat to the original artists, and they certainly aren't making serious amounts of money off of them. Just giving people what they are willing to pay money for. No harm being done here.

I like these guys' music, but it's still wrong to sell tracks like these if they don't actually have the rights to use the samples. How much money they end up making off them is irrelevant. If they wanted to share their unauthorized work they should have just given the edits away for free.

I'm not saying its morally correct at all, but bootlegs and black labels are not unheard of and have been going on for years. Hip-hop probably would have never happened if it weren't for practice like this.

Everyone arguing about "stealing samples" should really look up the law regarding that. Then kindly shut the fuck up.

For sure. Its not that big of a deal but I still disagree with it in principle.

Bas, if you're going to tell us to stfu, maybe you could summarize what the law actually says, or at least shoot us a link? I have no idea where to look up "sample stealing" laws.
