I saw Gareth Emery in Manchester along with Markus 2 weeks ago, and each played three hour sets.

The contrast in terms of set flow standard was miles apart. Markus did his usual thing. Emery started banging it out way way too early in his set, and by the time he was 90 minutes in, the crowd had fleked out listening to 140bpm for an hour.

When I saw Markus for the solo set at MOS, I was so impressed by how he was able to control the room for 7 straight hours, with nobody to warm up or close for him.

The sign of someone who is on his A-game.
