I'm pretty sure you checked him out all on your own! I remember when we ran into each other, you said you heard his beats from a distance, and were drawn over to see who was on. LOL. And ya, Percolator was another fun one, I forgot about that track!
It's true, all this reminiscing is making me want to go back. sigh |
Hahahaha really?! I could have sworn at some point in the weekend you mentioned I should check out Claude VonStroke. But that does kinda sound familiar now. I guess. lol!!
I really don't like using the word "Dirty" often but that's exactly what Claude was for me. Just downright dirty, heavy, chunky, hearty triple serving of meaty basslines!

"Even me?" she said.
I thought, "Oh right, if I categorically eliminate all other people, it's just me and her. She'd like that.
"Especially you" I said.
"You are virtually the ring leader, the way I see it."
Then, I blew out the candle.

Im so out of the loop, and have heard the word "dubstep" many times as of late....yet I have no idea wtf it is! Have any sets? Im curious |
Man, this is all wrong. It's supposed to be the assured, more experienced guys schooling the young hotties in underground house and techno and not the young studs macking the cool, glamourous babes with the latest and fresh sounds of dubstep. Damn young'ins.

It's a shame that it gets such a bad rep with the older crowd. |
I think you'll find old schoolers who were into jungle, drum & bass and hardcore to be into that sound. I've given it a listen here and there and it's not really to my liking. It's like you how said in an earlier post where you described techno as more 'subtle' whereas the other genres are more 'in your face'. Underground house and techno is more about the feel and emotion it creates - the whole spectrum from soulful, funky, sexy, playful to intense, aggressive, abrasive and everything in between. Not to say other genres can't make you feel that way, but there's something about that four to the floor beat that does it for a lot of us. Cheers.

Damn, sometimes I just need a clue and then there's those moments I need a hammer to hit me over the head. Thanks for making it clear that C is a chick and not a dude Mikey. A drink on me for that one guy. Cheers.
* I definitely would have used a better choice of words in my reply to your review Ciara, but maybe you're used to locker room talk anyway. Cheers.
