Well didn't he have a coke problem? That could explain the incessant paranoia.
Also wasn't Gabriel the producer and Dresden was more of the DJ? I haven't heard much of their live stuff, but I thought I remembered Gabriel having gone to college for music production/theory and Dresden just had a DJ background.

Yea pretty much. And for what it's worth I think Dave Dresden is a damn good DJ. Unfortunately for him, G&D are famous for their productions.
EDIT: It also makes their shows funny to watch. Dave is working his ass off and Josh is chillin hit tits off.

It's cute to read back to a time when Ted Promo didn't post exclusively through a creepy haze of dope smoke.

That reminds me: this thread should really be titled "special message for Jon the Dentist (Jon the Dentist related) [now with chops!]" for maximum effect.

Never seen them live, but I am for the first time Labor Day Weekend. Pretty exciting. I'm seeing Luciano, G&D, Richie Hawtin, Joris Voorn, James Holden, and Loco Dice all for the first time in the same weekend.

That's the one. I'm so glad it's 3 days this year. Last year was awesome aside from the dust problem, and this year's lineup looks even better.

So a few things...
Firstly he somehow managed to fuck up making a wix site (it's a flash based web development thingy that is easier to use than PowerPoint.) It's tragic...
Interesting point about modesty here by Jon the Dentist too...
quote:
Q) The Southwest is renowned for being very hard to make a career in music do you have any Advice for the Up 'N' Coming DJ's and Musicians?
A) Work really hard, have total belief in yourself (but be modest!) and move to London! (even though I now live in Cardiff I really couldn't have developed this career anywhere other than the Big City)
Source of lol... http://www.sortedmagazine.com/archive/magazine/bpm/jonthedentist.htm
It would be nice to have a compilation of all JTD LOLs in one place at the moment there is simply too many to take in all at once. It's like cramming for a final.
