I’ve always heard great things about Markus Schulz playing live but I never got a chance to experience it until this past weekend and now I get it.
The Terrace was PACKED! And the crazy thing about it is when Markus left around 6am it was just as packed. I’ve never seen anything like it.
As for songs I remember specifically Ferry Corstens “Punk”, Cosmic Gate ft. Emma Hewitt - Be Your Sound, some remix of IIO - Rapture, a few Dakota songs, etc. The 6 hours flew by like nothing. What an amazing combination of song selection and mixing. Honestly have never experienced something like that.
Someone gave Markus a unicorn which he proudly displayed in front of the decks but eventually gave away.
I’m new to the forums so for those who don’t know I run two online dance stations here in South Florida. I say this because I also do photography for the station and cover a variety of events here as well. That’s why I had press access to Space so I was able to get into the DJ booth and while I didn’t recognize everyone there I do know that Arnej, Kaeno, Fabio from Trance Family MIA, Heather Schulz and Tim from Coldharbour was there.
I got a ton of great pictures especially when they brought Markus the cake. There were a ton of photographers there so if anyone remembers the the nerdy looking hispanic guy in the green shirt, that was me. :-)
For those contemplating seeing him during WMC/Ultra week, I’d say go. Yes he often comes back to Miami and there will be other acts here that might not but you know he will bring a certain kind of Conference Week energy that you might not get otherwise.
