Nocturnal never ceases to amaze. Great production, some really good new music from a select few djs, plenty of room to dance on every stage but still pretty full. The stand outs of the night were definitely Mark Knight and Danny Tenaglia from the techno side and W&W from the trance side (didn't even go to the main stage). I was blown away how many times I heard a DJ either pause the track that was playing or kill it completely and have to start a new track Aside from those minor issues everything else went smoothly. Side note: ATB please hang it up. That's all I have to say about that. Great night overall, had a blast. Big thanks to Karen for the ticket

Edit: Simon Patterson also had a great set, he rarely disappoints. Tenaglia still won the night for me.

Norin & Rad, and Myon & Shane 54 I really thought had good sets. And surprising me was Soundprank. Early set but awesome.

Overall great festival as always, thank you Nocturnal.

Have to say, out of both days,... Deniz Koyu was the best, he had total control of the crowd and they knew who he was. I guess thats a benefit of playing early, the peeps there probably came to see you. The crowd was just synced and everybody was linked in. Best energy of both days. Hands-down.

2nd for me was Fedde Le Grand.

Above and Beyond was great as always, but if you've been to Group Therapy 5 times before, hard to get impressed again. Solid none the less.

Mark Knight, Orbital and Joachim Garraud were awesome as well.

I will give ultra props to Insomniac for making everything smooth as silk, for me. Plenty of bathrooms, water stations, cooling stations, easy entrance. Just overall awesome, nothing to make you mad or frustrated as many times in the past.

Techno room was great, but major sound echo issues, so only good if you were right up front. All in all the wide-awake car area sounded the best. Open Air Funktion-One, just can't be touched.

Now if only we could get it somewhere where no one can complain about the noise levels. The tents were outfitted with amazing full length systems, that never got to see their potential. Even security was telling me how awesome it was during sound check. It was actually lower when I left at 1:30am, then when I got there at 5PM.

All the reason for EDC at the Speedway, can pretty much do anything you want.

By the way, being 35 now, I am starting to feel old with all these kids.

As I said before, I haven't been to a NOS party in ages so wasn't sure what to expect. Everything was very well organized from the parking to the entry and to the exit. The only issue I had was security confiscating my whistle on my key chain and this other female security guard totally violated me and told me to empty my bra. Really?!?! I told her what she felt was my under wire of my bra and there was nothing for me to empty. Ugh.

Got there around midnight on Friday and mainly stayed in the Sunken Gardens room to check out Andy C. Ran into trance_seeker and he highly recommended to stay for DirtyPhonics. HOLY FUCK, these guys are amazing and I'm a fan! Their energy and even interaction with the crowd was phenomenal. I think I went deaf in this room though, the bass was like no other (I wish I could say that for some of the other rooms that had such shitty sound!)

Saturday night was a lot more crowded. Met up with moretechplease for a brief moment. and saw Mark Knight who was good but the highlight of the night was Danny T. I didn't drink very much so I was trying to conserve my energy for Danny and although I was tired, I still was able to stand up front to the very last track he dropped! Danny even addressed the sound issue of the echo too. He addressed it a few times actually and I could tell he was annoyed lol.

I met up with a gf of mine briefly from NorCal and she was in the ATB/Dash tent and well that was overall nauseating!!..so I left after about 10 minutes right when Dash came on.

As RobertStern (good seeing you btw) mentioned.. I felt old too.. especially at the trance tent!

Big shout out to Dream Beamz of course for making it happen!

Went both days.

All the logistics like RobertStern and moretechplease said were good. Short lines and nothing to really complain about or ruin "the experience"

The sound was terrible in the Sunken Garden the 1st day IMO. Some people seemed to love the BASS. And it was definitely LOUD, but that's all I could really hear and almost all of the mid's and highs were drowned out. Disappointing for me because Dirtyphonics was one of the main reasons for going on Friday. That's the second time I've seen them in that part of the NOS and the sound was bad the last time also. Seems to be hit and miss in that room because it sounded better the 2nd day.
I think part of the mid/highs went out midway through in the Labyrinth tent on Friday? I checked it out on my way to the Group Therapy tent but it sounded off.

Due to them not being able to/want to (?) bring in that tent from last year the production of Alice's House wasn't that impressive. Before there was a BIG difference production wise between Alice's House and the Labyrinth tents and I was disappointed that the trance acts were on the smaller stage. Now that the trance acts were in Alice's House stage, it kind of looks just like the Labyrinth one and not that impressive It pretty much was like Beyond Wonderland earlier this year for ASOT 550.

Also that Octopus thing kind of got in the way sometimes. Kinda blocks the view of the stage if they happen to stop right in front of you.

Overall, I had a great time. I was able to check out the trance acts on Friday and check out a lot of different acts on Saturday. I had never seen Orbital, Royksopp, Gui Boratto and some D&B acts. I wished I had gotten more sleep so I could have checked out more of Danny Tenaglia but I was getting tired and knew I had a long drive back so I left a little early.

All my videos from both nights - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...eature=view_all

Here are a couple (change to 1080p for best pic) -

Above and Beyond

Digweed

Royksopp (go to 3:14 and 4:28 and you can hear the difference in sound compared to the Upside Down Room. This room sounded a lot clearer.)

Alice's House last year for comparison -

That must be why Digweed kept walking off stage, then coming back and pointing to the monitor speakers. Clearly annoyed about something up there, was also pretty bright for a Digweed stage...
