i think you will find the issue is that they did not have warrants. A law that says we have a program we can't tell you about that warrants us to do stuff we can't tell you about to people we also can't tell you about is pretty fucking dubious. If you can defend these acts by twisting legal documents which were drafted in a rather obvious spirit and applied to matters the creators of an amendment did not foresee , i mean you have some serious fucking issues. Anyone that can say this is totally fine with a straight face is why they get away with it. You seem to forget what is going on in the pursuit of being right on the internet.

lol. Umm the documents released by Snowden ? They show that there are exceptions were they don't need warrants. This doesn't make it constitutional if you put in legal loopholes to circumvent the spirit of a law. I mean your question is pretty fucking stupid. Prove a program that can't be discussed or mentioned that they are doing things , which they won't really quite tell us about and how those things are done to citizens on a criteria they won't really divulge either. You think that burden of proof is on me ?

And i think that is why Snowden and what he revealed is rather important. Because without that data, you can't do a fucking thing. Now the ACLU is taking action. That would not happen had those documents not been made public. What he did is undeniable in terms of being a catalyst for action keeping the government in check. His motivations are irrelevant.

FISA. It's an international court established by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

They did have warrants, approved by FISA. Also lol @ the ACLU. They sue for everything and don't have the greatest track record. Since the 1920s, they're barely over 50% with the Supreme Court.

if we were living during the american revolution, its pretty clear who'd be siding with the Tories and King George III and who'd be standing along side Samuel Adams, George Washington, and other freedom-loving Founding Fathers.

you are pathetic. how the hell can you call yourself Americans, when you regurgitate everything the oppressive federal government spoon feeds you and you willingly, nary a whimper, let Uncle Sam put the tip in your canker-roasted anal cavity, but refuse to call it rape because the whole shaft did not penetrate.

i pray there are just a few of you, and in the case there are not but a few, that there is a growing political consciousness of the gradual erosion of liberties which will, i hope, lead a to a fight back to regain everything we have lost.

So the American government isn't American? I'm confused.

Also, FYI, the Revolution had pretty much nothing to do with liberties and freedoms and all that, it was mostly about power and money. Liberties and freedoms were small (though extremely awesome) bonuses.

I think you will find what you consider a warrant a rather broad order of operational parameters which undermines the purpose of what a warrant serves. That isn't really a warrant is it. And if it is , then that should raise a red flag no ?

The problem seems to be this need to be right without just taking a step back and thinking about wether this should be legal even if it is. I don't even see the need to justify its current legality. It is wrong rather scary and kinda fucked that actual citizens are totally fine with unchecked domestic surveillance

I mean what if they see your wife and think they actually killed the wrong guy and that moustached ape looking fatty the drone is picking up is giving a 90% match to osama. They check your internet use and notice all the trance mixes and determine no fucking way this guy is american. Drone is sent, hellfire takes out the ape while you are also blown to bits which is fine because anyone within 1 mile radius of an enemy combatant is also an enemy. We aren't there yet but i'm pretty sure your ape wife being bagged and tagged would piss you off. Not to mention the shit storm PETA would start creating a smokescream to the real issue. Fat girls being able to procreate.

You're not really that funny, you realize that right? I think your sperglord status prevents you from coming across as humorous due to your inability to form coherent sentences.

Regardless, you're a moron.
