I always look foward to hearing hardwick play everytime im at the crasher. He is a really shit hot DJ. But this 100 greatest DJ thingy is bollox. U cant say who the greatest DJ in the world is cos they all have different styles, Its just a matter of opinion like everything.

Yeah not trying to jump on the band wagon but MAtt harwick is the daddy of gatecrasher!

If you just look at how much he enjoys spinning every time..the look on his face, the tunes he plays. He listens to the crowd and judges sooo well their reactions! he always wants to play on for longer and is not arrogant or self obsessed (unlike many dj'd these days). I think hes got it down to a fine art that alot of Dj's these days are finding more and more difficult to achieve.

i mean apex-virtuoso and peal river as his final choons of NEC?!! couldn't have picked any too songs i'd have rather had heard!-spot on!

I've seen tiesto countless times and on many of those occasions he's been amazing!..seriously good..but of late (the past year) he's really lost his ability to read the crowd. Gatex gets played ALL the time and i think that tiesto needs to produce either more productions or get a new selection of choonage. His set from Godskitchen at telewest is particularly poor. THe mixing in parts is noticeably bad..as in mis timed and not matched in places.

Having said that..his mix of die another day at the NEC btw was rather tasty!!

Matt hardwick has NEVER dissapointed and god only knows how many times i've heard him now. NEVER played a bad set!..which is fucking impressive!..to anyones standards!


I'd vote Hardwick over tiesto easily.

Matt Hardwick's a nice and decent DJ but he's really FAR from the top IMO !

Umm how many times have you guys actually seen Hardwick??

furthermore..how many times have you seen tiesto?!

i doubt it very much that you have seen/heard him play whereas we have seen/heard BOTH dj's spin many times and therefore have more knowledge to pass judgement.

At the end of the day it all comes down to consistency..and tiesto is NOT always consistent hardwick is..you see him?..you'l understand!

exactly my point from a few posts back..

he's obviously not that bothered about producing.. he loves DJing more! that is why he is consistantly so good... because instead of being in the studio, hes practicing his mixing. this is why many of the big names often dissapoint when playing a dj set.. because they do the djing to give a high profile to their productions and vice versa. not because they love djing..
