OUTDOOR IMPULZ IN HOLLAND....
If you are well into the clubbing experience, but have not yet made your way to Holland for one of the Impulz events put on by UDC, then you must make a plan to do so.... There are two Impulz events each year, usually Outdoor Implulz is on the last weekend of June with Impulz Indoor on the first weekend of December every year.... We can honestly say that when it comes to event production, the Holland Dance Music festivals would have to be the best in the world as far as we have experienced....
Last weekend saw Bussloo come alive to a festival of approximately 25,000 beside the lake and amoungst the trees - an earthy experience with seven different stage areas, all accomodating a different genre of dance music - dotted amoungst a massive ferris wheel, fireworks displays, stalls upon stalls of shopping, showrides and outdoor chillouts areas complete with beanbags and plenty to eat/drink/smoke/etc.... The weather was perfect, and as usual (we may be biased but there seemed to be much agreeance!) the place to be was the Hard Dance Arena - a tent with a capacity of 8,000 which opened on to a beach and accomodated the most banging sound system that we have ever heard at any outdoor event in the world.
It was definately LAB4's favourite Holland gig to date, as it seemed that the crowd was more responsive and up for it than ever before, which made for an amazing vibe for the entire evening.... The Tidy Boys also made their debut appearance for UDC, along with spot on sets from JP and also Fausto....
Massive respect to Yoji Biomahanika - who played an absolutely blinding and inspirational set - after having BMI Airlines lose his records box between London and Amsterdam and not being able to get it to him until Sunday - despite the fact that he also had to DJ in Germany, before turning around to come back to Holland for Impulz at 4am.... A gobsmacking performance made from a box of records of which none were his own, but borrowed from friends in Germany, Tidy Boys and Fausto - and never have we ever seen a Dutch crowd go for it as hard as when Yoji hit that stage for the final set of the festival, it was truly awe inspiring!!!

The burning question is "when will LAB4 be coming to Holland again???" Well it seems that 4 Elements has been cancelled for this September, and we also unfortunately miss out on Impluz Indoor due to previous commitments in Australia - so we are currently in throws of planning to join HQ in Amsterdam - posssibly for their 100th event birthday party on Friday 31st October.... We will let you know as soon as this has been properly confirmed!!
Blijkt toch weer dat de feestje in nederland helemaal niet zo slecht zijn.
