The only people who will be tired of this are complete scenesters or people that overplayed it like crazy, which represent about 5-10% of the clubbing population. For most people the track will be completely fresh.
Either way I'll be buying it.

publicity is worth a lot. if you look at it from an economic point of view, depending on your opinion / perspective, then you might say that the publicity now is going to be worth more than the money + publicity generated by a release when/if it does happen. there aren't any guarantees, and this website has a very large presence in the trance / electronic music community. as you may have guessed, i believe that having your name put out there associated with good music is worth a lot more to the artist than it might seem at first glance. where people get hung up a lot is that they can't see past the short term. but the short term isn't the one that really matters. in the long term, the waves created by your name and music being distributed out in the world will ripple out in time / space. it's kind of like activation energy in chemistry. if you create large enough waves they will keep going like a chain reaction and spread through the world... in any case, the people who will do well in the future are the ones who are going to embrace the changes that aren't going away and use them to their advantage. many are going to be left in the dust. some will fight, but mostly the smart ones will figure out how to co-exist with the internet and mp3s and not only co-exist but better themselves and the world because of the wonderful technology. the pioneers will be the ones being copied by everyone in the future. the methods they are conceptualizing now are going to be standard practice in years to come. if one wants to do well, he / she might have to look past the money or releases or whatever matters right now. im not saying those aren't good goals, but they aren't the only important goals. im just happy to see people experimenting and doing the very things i have just described. they are the pioneers and some of them are going to do very wonderful things. hope that sheds light on a different perspective, because we might as well keep up with the times, because things are changing... always have been, always will.
