The only people who will be tired of this are complete scenesters or people that overplayed it like crazy, which represent about 5-10% of the clubbing population. For most people the track will be completely fresh.

Either way I'll be buying it.

i DL'ed it. was pretty good.

it's kind of your fault it was leaked, buddy. never put a tune you don't want leaked online, period.

i'm not sharing it though. why don't you change it up a little bit and don't put in online?

OK I accept that its inevitable that a ripping group will get its hands on stuff if it wants, but can't they at least wait untill its released. Instead of possibly fucking everything up for the artist.

you see, the problem is the new groups. well-established groups would never do something like that. new groups try to grab as much shit as possible to get the "recognition". and, apparently, but "releasing" such quality material, they establish themselves quite well.

i understand your sorrow.

the track is really great. i would suggest fading it in and out so that noone can release it, yet put it out in a superb quality, so that djs who want to can cut off the fading parts and use the track in the mix.

all this hype is making people very curious about the track.
that's a good thing, if they would buy it.

but they just log on the hub and search for it.
and everytime i checked, there were people sharing it (and i asked some of them to unshare).

the best thing to do is ask the users to unshare it, but in a private way.. not turning this public, or posting in forums, etc..

so people dont even know that a full rip is out somewhere..
(i didnt know about this fact before i checked this thread - and i downloaded it.. but no - i'm not sharing, and yes - i will buy it - i love the track)

removing it from everywhere is almost impossible, so let's stop talking about this and we never heard of a full rip

and if you find it avaiable somewhere.. PM the user to unshare it and don't talk more about this full rip

and sorry for my english

publicity is worth a lot. if you look at it from an economic point of view, depending on your opinion / perspective, then you might say that the publicity now is going to be worth more than the money + publicity generated by a release when/if it does happen. there aren't any guarantees, and this website has a very large presence in the trance / electronic music community. as you may have guessed, i believe that having your name put out there associated with good music is worth a lot more to the artist than it might seem at first glance. where people get hung up a lot is that they can't see past the short term. but the short term isn't the one that really matters. in the long term, the waves created by your name and music being distributed out in the world will ripple out in time / space. it's kind of like activation energy in chemistry. if you create large enough waves they will keep going like a chain reaction and spread through the world... in any case, the people who will do well in the future are the ones who are going to embrace the changes that aren't going away and use them to their advantage. many are going to be left in the dust. some will fight, but mostly the smart ones will figure out how to co-exist with the internet and mp3s and not only co-exist but better themselves and the world because of the wonderful technology. the pioneers will be the ones being copied by everyone in the future. the methods they are conceptualizing now are going to be standard practice in years to come. if one wants to do well, he / she might have to look past the money or releases or whatever matters right now. im not saying those aren't good goals, but they aren't the only important goals. im just happy to see people experimenting and doing the very things i have just described. they are the pioneers and some of them are going to do very wonderful things. hope that sheds light on a different perspective, because we might as well keep up with the times, because things are changing... always have been, always will.

One of the main reasons why I do not post here, is cuz I don't want to get my stuff leaked. I mean, I know most of you guys are signed, and have your music copyrighted but I don't, and I would hate to get my music stolen by a nerd who doesn't even know how to produce, yet leaks it all over the place.

if they steal mine, i'll make more better. they can't take away your ability to make music. bt has had his stuff physically stolen where he lost music that he made, but he moved on. it would piss me off to no end if someone steals my creations, but im gonna release full quality always. i'll take the risk. sometimes you have to take risks to make gains. traditions are overrated.

its like open source.
open music.

(btw whats up mental, havent talked to ya in a while )

Everythings okay. Working on a whole buncha projects at once. Just finished one, and working on 5 other projects. Everything is fine, just still learning, and fine tuning my software!

I'm sure you have improved a ton since we last spoke! I'm scared to hear what you got locked up in your computer. I won't promise this, but perhaps I'll re-work Divergence one day. Won't promise it, but we'll see! -Mental

I'm not saying this to sound arrogant (so forgive me if I do) but...
Do you really think release groups will release all the tracks by every unknown amateur producer?
