I got this from Ivibes.nu I think I'm going to go out an get it now

Music is a supernatural power that succeeds to manipulate people’s emotions with its vibrations. While this statement must be considered true for music in general, the supernatural feeling and emotional impact of NU NRG’s debut album is most striking. Discovered by Paul van Dyk in 2001 with their track „Dreamland“,the two Italians resurface as masters of beautiful and uplifting Trance.

The album „Free Fall“ showcases terrific compository skills and embraces outstanding melodies. Some of NU NRG’s tracks sound pure and serene, some of them mysterious. Weightless elements compete with pulsating beats and dirty basslines.

A sensational and persuasive debut and a trancy dream come true. Although having released a considerable number of tracks, the two Roman producers avoid featuring all their previous work on the album but rather present new material. „Eclisse“, the opener of the album comes as an almost beatless five minute introduction to the world of NU NRG. While „Visual Sonar“ takes up the dense atmosphere of the introduction,
the first heavy beats set in and transfer it into a percussive ‚submarine’ feeling.

Whereas „Supersonic Way“ is the first of the clubby tracks with a dark and almost dirty underlying beat, „Bonsai“ starts equally dark but even more percussive. Then all of a sudden, a heavenly flute sets in, leading into a beautiful break - definitely one of the strongest tracks and most compelling arrangements of the album!

The following eponymous title „Free Fall“ must result from an overload of feelgood hormones. Based on a compelling beat, the feathery strings wrap you up in soft clouds of happiness and carry you to sunny shores. Before reaching Nirvana, „Connective“, the most recent NU NRG 12“ release on Vandit, takes us back to earth with its funky take. The track develops into a club burner and, after the break, into a wonderful Trance jewel.

„Butterfly“ and „Astralis“ give even more reason to be struck with astonishment: both tracks magically balance a cool and pulsating undertow with elating elements. „Tommotor“, the most technoid approach of the album, is another one of the ‚submarine’ tracks, starting somewhere in the deepest and darkest sea, then flashing the headlights and darting through the vast ocean with powerful engines.

Mysteriously cool! Closer listening is what it takes to grab the full potential of „Aloa P“ with its housy touch, wicked beats and booming bass. A track which underlines the great compository skills and a sure shot highlight! Then, the 2004 version of NU NRG’s breakthrough hit „Dreamland“ marks the atmospheric conclusion to this unforgettable journey into Trance.

When Paul van Dyk put NU NRG’s „Dreamland“ on his 2001 DJ mix compilation „The Politics of Dancing“ and signed the Italian producers to his label Vandit, he couldn’t grab the full potential of these outstanding newcomers. Three years later and with appearances on almost 20 compilations and over 20 remixes in the bag, NU NRG are considered as possibly the best duo in today’s Trance scene. Live Act performances at events such as Mayday and Love From Above (Germany), Energy (Switzerland), Arc (New York) and clubs such as Palladium (Madrid), Cocorico (Italy) and Cream (Liverpool) further increase their claim to fame.

Asked about their style, Giuseppe and Andrea respond: „a special mix of melody, energy, and passion for electronic dance music.“ Experience their passion and energy on their new album „Free Fall“ which may well pave the way for their commercial breakthrough.

NU NRG "Freefall"
Available from July 2004 on CD

Wow...after 2 years, every time I hear Bonsai on this CD, it sounds so empty at the end of the breakdown not to hear "Orrrrrrrgasmatron! il silenzio e' rotto da" ... "Nu NRG"

I've heard the live rip so many times that now I sing that little bit in my head during the breakdown. Sad, I know...
