Heh... yeah, well - if Olympics were any indication I think that he's headed towards Oakey-Land. Remember, at one point Oakey was #1 - what got him thrown off is his cockiness and self-promotion (and the fact that he kinda sucked). Well, Tiesto is not any different... I dunno... I am trying to figure out how the hell he became #1 DJ... Back in 2001 when PvD spun at the Ultraworld (in DC Armory), Tiesto was in town the same day at Glow. I went to see him in Glow - the place was empty! Meanwhile, PvD's gig brought out so many people to the event that it got banned thereafter (sadly). By an estimate, DC armory brought about 6,000 fans to see PvD, meanwhile Glow was half-empty for Tiesto. Now, explain to me - how'd Tiesto get to #1???
Whatever, I'm not a Tiesto hater, I just think he's overrated... I bought his "Just Be" CD only to be disapointed. Oh, another nail in the coffin for my interest in Tiesto was his interview in the "Remix" magazine where he talks about himself in a third person - talk about having a big fucking head!
Anyway....

the whole dj-culture thing is over-rated with all the dj whores, trainspotters and general stalkers that follow all of the stars around kissing their feet. Doesn't matter if ur oakey, tiesto or PvD - its just part of their and our world we live in. NO need to blame the artist for them!
