come to think of it I don't think i've had a bad experience with security anywhere, anytime in my clubbing experience. Guv bouncers especially, urgg I forgot his name the big bald white guy, have been VERY nice to me and the people that come with me. The guv managment are also very cordial. You treat them with respect, they treat you with respect.

i think you're referring to Jamiel who's the head bouncer .. he usually stands at the Guv main entrance near the DeLuxe Lounge doorway ..

hmm, funny, all i got from this thread is another person on my ignore list.

system new sound was good this weekend. the only complaint was, it seems it wasn't balanced well for the room. the sound didn't come from all sides (surround) it came mostly from the back speakers. this just needs to be tweaked a bit. but there was no pain in the ears and all sounds could be heard clearly.

well there is really no Surround sound in the clubs to begin with.It is usually a mono signal,being sent to every speaker, but if they switch that signal out of phase or add some delay to the signal it is possible to get surround image but it really isnt.Surround meaning 5.1 and no clubs I know uses a 5.1 setup,since it is really pointless and most songs are mixed to L&R.

So the reason you couldnt hear any sounds from some of the speakers could be for many reasons.

Yeah Jamil rocks! At first I swore he was gonna be some black dude because his name was Jamil which sounded a lot like Jamal so I figured it's the same then I go and meet the guy and he is some white looking dude with a goat tea and then he turns out to be Arabic but he sure fooled me because he has no accient at all and looked pretty white

He is actually some sort of Einstein who went to U of T at 16 and ended up bouncing pub nights at one point. Jamil and his brother are both at a genious level and he is a pretty funny guy too who has really good people skills and will be owning his own club pretty soon

The bottom line here is treat others the way you want to be treated and you should be fine
