Or go often. There's one 5 minutes from my place, so I take a trip a couple of times each month. Usually I don't find much, but on those days it takes me maybe 10 minutes to go through everything and decide to throw in the towel. It's not a lot of time wasted.
And every now and then they'll have a couple of wicked items. Sometimes they'll have a whole shitload - I remember I walked in there one day and they had half a rack full of Akademiks stuff. This store also gets in stuff from Diesel, Guess, Parasuco, Prada, whatever brand you can think of, and most of it's fairly new. They get a lot of PZ and Industry stuff which I happen to like (LOVE the PZ stretch jeans, and I know a few other guys here wear 'em). Only thing I've never seen them get is Mexx.
I'm certainly not the king of fashion but with all due respect to the fashion connoisseurs who refuse to go to Winners/Bay/etc., it seems like you just don't know what you're looking for and need someone else to tell you what's "hot". I know my style, it takes me a millisecond to look at something (without looking at the label  ) and decide whether or not it belongs in the maybe pile.
And even though I hate the "metro" style, I have to respect those guys because they actually have individuality and taste and aren't slaves to brand names.
