You do realize that house and progressive (which is technically a subset of trance with a little bit of house thrown in) are not the only other genres out there. There's also breaks, tribal, techno, to name a few. I'm getting in my share of trance, I just like a little variety in my party schedule.


In other news, just heard about the tronic treatment w/ Adam Beyer - that's been added to my schedule already, definitely not missing it.

Oh yeah. It's just those other genres hold as much appeal to me as me looking forward to a papercut. Although breaks don't sound bad, as played by our FLTA DJ Mike Warren. He played some impressive stuff last Saturday at Players.

Techno...have yet to hear it live.

Tribal...errr.....no comment.

Me = trance, hardtrance, hardstyle. Anything else gets a one-way trip down the crapper.

Good for you. Maybe if you didn't advertise that fact to everyone, they wouldn't rag on you so often.

Elitism of any kind is completely immature, no matter what genre it's for or what the name of the site is.

Remember, we're all here to PARTY and have FUN! It doesn't matter if someone else's taste is different from yours. A little bit of joking around about genres is okay, but only up to the point before people start taking it seriously.

Exactly. I used to be just like you, DA, but then I found Breaks and Progressive and all that other shit. Now trance takes a back seat. Don't get me wrong, I still pay tribute to my roots but I'm much more open now and I like what I've found.
