heh, my first post.
Anyway, first and foremost, the music:
Hardwick put on an absolutely solid set. Nice buildups, nice breaks, nice, pumping tunes. Danced non-stop pretty much throughout his whole set. I really didn't know what to expect from this guy since I didn't really know all that much about him, but damn, was I pleasantly surprised! Definitely a DJ I'll be looking out for in the future. Needless to say, he created the right atmosphere for Tracid to come into. Tracid opened up with an absolutely wicked track: Hennes & Cold - The Second Trip (DJ Scot Project mix). I was going nuts when he was playing that. After that though, Tracid seems to have 'cooled off'. The only memorable songs were the Hennes & Cold track, Asys - No More Fucking Rock & Roll (I had a good feeling he would be playing that tune - glad I didn't miss that one), and the Derbus track. The stuff in between was just filler imo. I mean, I love a good bass line and all, but not that much - it's good to headbang to, but a nice melody to actually dance to was missing most of the time. And you could see that he was losing the crowd in between songs - people weren't really dancing as much as moving to the beats. Hardwick on the other hand, kept the floor jumping the whole set. Tracid didn't dissapoint, but he didn't really live up to the expectations either.
The coat check:
Yea, I'll agree, that was just ridiculous. The checking-in AND the checking-out. Prolly spend a good 1.5 hours in that little room in total. Complete waste of time. The bouncers were acting like assholes to everybody too. Fuck, I know you have a job to do, but no need to be THAT pissy.
The floor:
Awesome. Lots of room to dance, and most importantly, IT WAS COOL. The main room had PERFECT temperature. You could keep going forever and not even feel the least bit uncomfortable. The stage was a little too cool though. I came up there a few times to rest, and got cold in like a few minutes. Of course, maybe that was the organisers' way of saying "get your ass back on the dance floor" ;P The little candy ravers didn't bother me at all - I'm 6"4', so I literally and figuratively just looked down on them. Plus, for most of Hardwick's set I was dancing with this tall, sexy brunette, so I didn't mind them at all (prolly increased my enjoyment of Hardwick's set too).
In conclusion, awesome night. Although Tracid could have played a little bit more trance and a little less filler.

Now that I have had some sleep, although still needing more....
Kai Tracid was by far the biggest surprise of the night for me - it being the first time....Wow - beautiful music!
As mentioned I spent most of my time in the DnB area. Reid Speed was my personal fav. of the night. She def. is the "goddess" of the decks for DnB...Aphrodite, Bad Company, Freaky Flow were all excellent. Nothing but bouncy vibes for me. Overall, I was impressed with the crowd. IT was full of kids but not the rude boi attitude of previous DnB parties.
Tatgirl: I love you warmness and looking after me for the Liberation room...Can't wait to see your pics
Dr. Good Vibe: Pictures are incredible - you have serious talent hon - keep up the good work
Fran: Once again - so happy you came from NYC this weekend. Awesome to hang with you as always...
Marg: I LOVED ur hairdo
Graham: dood - you always great with a HUGE smile and big hugz
R.J. thanks for being present during my carpet incident - rofl
Hugz to the usual suspects: CUZO (my other rock and roll dood), The_broad, Digitnut Time2Burn, Expired, DJ Eso)
TO All the T.A.'s I met for the first time: highroller, floorwhore-finally, robbie G-thanks for the compliment dood I met so many T.A.'s and I know I am missing people and I truly have to apologize if I have not mentioned you - I am still recouping
Last and MOST important: SWAMPER - thank u for an excellent little community you have created

Wicked night indeed!
I was there from the very start pretty much to the very end and enjoyed every moment.
I didn't catch Harwick's set as it was right in line with mine, but in my opinion the best sets of the night were played by Toronto's up and comers. Schryer absolutely ripped it up in the Tides; really good pace to his music and he picked it up perfectly from the dj who opened for him. Spent most of my time after that in the Liberation Lounge to see Gamma; really impressed with his stuff too, really sexy prog had the place bouncin'! Styles ripped things up as well, way to go buddy! Caught a bit of OS/2's set and he was pretty good too.
I managed to stay after Tracid's set to check out Walter and he played a terrific closing set; trance the way it should be! Nice work!
So good seeing all of you TA's again, you guys are awesome, too many to list but you know who you are. Always nice meeting some new faces as well. I was really impressed with how approachable Matt and Kai were, meeting with people after the sets; total class... nice chatting with Scott Stubbs again too. Too bad I missed his set as well.
All in all a great party, nice work by Ari, Walter, Ryan and the crew... a very special thanks to you Del for having me in and for putting in the work for us to have such an amazing community like this. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TA!!!
See you all next week for Marco.
Cheers,
-D

ahh well i got ther around 11 and waited in coat check till aroudn 11.45 or so, so i caught a bit of schryers set. and then os/2 came on and had some good tracks going. didnt really get a good feel of scott stubbs' set but it was ok. then i came in the main room for matt hardwick and this guy was awesome!! played crazy tunes which i was goin nuts for. time flew by when i looked at my watch and he was almost done. then kai tracid came on, and i never realy heard any of his stuff before, or his sets, and it was alrite. nothign to special for me, cuz i like the trance stuff more than the harder stuff. but when he played derb, that got me pumped again, and i was re-energized. cuz in the middle of the set, i was beat, i could barely move. but the last hour or so, i really cranked it up and moved.
great meeting the TAs which made it so much more fun there.
the coat check was brutal.
overall ill give it a 10/10 for the vibe
and 9/10 for matt hardwick
and 7/10 for kai tracid
cant wait to meet more TAs sometime soon

Hey all!
I'm a TA from Israel, was at the party last night....
Just wanted to say that the party was real hype. In the beginning I didn't really like what was going on, and was kind of worried that this party is going to suck... but then MATT HARDWICK started spinning his shit, and I had SUCH a good time! I had to leave about an hour after Kai Tracid went on.. and besides, I'm not into hard trance as much as I used to these days...
It was fun, good trance... although, I've been to better parties.. Also, as some of you guys said, the coat check was horrible.... Nothing like that have ever happened to me in the past. I also think the sound system in the main room wasn't as good as I expected it to be..(I've heard so much about the docks).
Bottom line, it was a fun night! IT'S ALL ABOUT THE TRANCE!
I'll come back here and party it up after the army in 2 years or so when I return!
