May the world still be surrounded by peace and understanding.

this post has digressed so much..this thread is officially an embarrassment.
If you have not ever felt the presence and power of the pope, than no amount of goggle searches for his achievements will enlighten you.
To all that wish to ruin this already somber moment, give up. You will lose. Too many people care too much. And the best thing is they aren't even all Catholic.
A true testament to his greatness.

You can't call on the mods to edit posts whenever you don't agree with what someone else has posted.
Either way, it's better that ppl read it, because some of the idiocy spewed in here really makes you wonder about some people.

In benefit of the questionable posters - I honestly hope that some people who responded to this thread were either "joking" or seriously "incoherent" at the time of their posts and that they would normally have more respect and more moral class than they conveyed in this thread.

You don't have to be religious to know it's sad when somebody dies. But I must say that some people undoubtedly lead a more productive life than others, and are only exceeded by the great legacy they leave behind.
To the people who dedicate their lives to the nourishment and promotion of all that is good, I tip my hat to you.
RIP Pope John Paul II.
