Its funny how people always say vinyl is dying, ever since 2000 people have said its dead, yet in my eyes its stronger than ever, ill bet most revenue for trance artists comes from vinyl sales, Not only that, other genres are soley vinyls, just look at the dmc championships, i think its all down to personal preference really, i dont see it dying within the next 10 years anyway

Personally ill stick with vinyl as it just has that special charm, when you get your new order of records at front door theres a feeling that getting mp3's over the net just cant match.

As for everyone jumping on the sasha bandwagon, abelton has been around for a long while and in the last 2 months just because sasha has whored it you all think its the best thing since sliced bread, that it may be, but to me the fuss has only risen to the masses since he used it, its like he says "jump" and you all say "how high". If ableton is truely this great as you all say and people do make the change over i hope it doesnt ruin the scene regards to sales, Far to many ppl find it just as easy to d/l the mp3s and not pay any loyalties. It might not be the death of the dj but possibly the death of the scene.

There are alot of dj's that are talented all using different hardware / software, my advice is to just stick to one and master it, once again its down to personal preference

Its great thats djing becoming available to the masses though, makes sure we have more talent around, as people strive to make it big they will have to be more original and creative, which can only be a good thing in the end (just look at james zabiela)

p.s. these are only my opinions, doesnt make me right nor wrong

Agreed. I think it's ok to experiment, as well as many of you never going back to vinyl again. Personally I perfer a combination of software, CDJS and vinyl at the same time because I like both variation of music and ways to DJ.

I guess it's a matter of taste and/or will to try something new. Like I said, I like all three but it mostly gets back to vinyl in the end, despite that I live where vinyl are barely sold.
