Why am I the trance nemesis? I'm going to the show in your sig and I still listen to j00F/Ferry/MarcoV and a host of other trance DJs.

I'll give him +1 point for playing at the olympics, but his DJ skills are just NOT THAT GOOD at ALL...period...especially lately.

That Disneyland set was absolutley horrible...I've heard bedroom DJ's with far better mixing.

yup ur right ... after listenin to ISOS4 CD2 i hereby declare .... TIESTO SUCKS. By the way im tokin bout those judges who just say he sucks cuz it looks kool.

I agree that ISOS 4 CD2 is not one of the best Tiesto's productions. But it is not sufficient enough to negatively judge Tiesto as a DJ. You can actually say that all DJ's suck if you base your opinion only on one of their albums. Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Armin van Buuren, Sasha, and etc. have albums that are not that great. So, all of them suck (according to ur point of view)???

And it does not look cool when somebody says that Tiesto sucks, simply because it is not true. A DJ sucks when he or she has no skills at all but still keep playing... And Tiesto has a lot of skills as well as Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk and many others.

It is just matter of taste.

True that. haha dont bring armin in here though thats like comparing the smoothness of butter to a cement wall. . IMO i loved every armin album i have ever purchased. And as Dj's get older, not every one of them will stick with his prime. Tiesto's mixing used to be pwnage. 1999 was an ownage year and so was 2000. I loved the another day in the office dvd and i have it and watch it. Some of his sets like dance valley and kremlin hq when he played members of mayday were awesome.

Tiesto does not suck. Everybody has his ups and downs, even the number 1 DJ of the world.

I love Tiesto. I wouldn't consider him chill though. He throws in a good deal of energy.

my thoughts exactly. its all a popularity contest. i'm sure there are dj's way down at the bottom of the latter who deserve to be in the top 10 but arent just because no-one has ever heard of them.

and finally: when jetlags are being used as an excuse, I can only say one thing...: fly in a day early... take more time to rest... do less shows or use some drugs... give people quality... (quality is NOT a matter of taste, mind u)

sometimes its not because they dont want to take more time to rest but their schedules just dont allow it. most of the time, their agents do the booking for them anyway. there might not be any flights available or a flight might be delayed and so on. there have been quite a few gigs where the main acts didnt show up because they missed their flight. there was this one gig where satoshi tomeii arrived at the airport just 3 - 4 hours before his gig and another where anne savage was playing the final set at 3am and had to catch a flight a 7am to be able to make in time for a gig she was playing later that night.

I really do NOT care abt their schedule.... I care abt quality!!!
and secondly: if their agents set them up like that, FIRE THEM.... who hired who??? who's in charge.... one example of how it should be done:
Paul van Dyk's flight out of berlin to rotterdam got cancelled one nite. instead of just cancelling the show, it was postponed. He came in at the first available date (for him as well as the club) and played an 7 to 8 hours set (iso 4 hrs) and excused himself for any harm done.... now THAT'S what I call manners.... that's respect for yr audience.... this has nothing to do with mixing skills, just respect for your crowd.

if you want to do 3 gigs a nite, make sure you have yr own plane or helicopter. you do NOT want to be dependant on public transport such as normal airliners are!!

I respect Tiesto much as hell.. ,, however i think that he has gone latley the wrong path in choosing his tracks. Tiesto for me back in the old days where the guy that always sat the bar for other dj:s to try to top. Tiesto nowadays does some good stuff here and there (yes i enjoyed ISOS4 alot!) , but i think he goes more in the commercial way of making trance nowadays rather than making the stuff we used to love him for.. *TE 2000*

You people bashing him here and there how old are you? , people with good knowledge about trance knows that you have to have some respect for Tiesto. Yes i know i would have gone totally mad if i go to a big party and Tiesto is there and just plays some lame shit but that havent happend yet..

I dont think he is worth the dj of the year this year. I think that AVB with his ASOT200 (most requested tunes) showed everyone on this planet that he is nr 1. Yes sure a good dj could do a set like it if he/she just got the tunes.. but the mixing in this set IS SICK! I doubt very few on this planet have thoose skills that AVB showed there.
