I think that Tiesto did a spectacular job filling the Sports Arena! After all, this isn't Holland, where Tiesto In Concert II sold 55,000 tickets in 3 hours!! A few pics from that phenomenal event:

It's not really legitimate to compare events in other countries to dance parties here in the States. The venues are smaller here, not designed for this kind of thing (must be retrofitted), are subject to early closure rules in LA (limiting sets to 4 hours), and people in the States just don't party in mass like those in Holland or a lot of other countries (but work to live, I say!)
I was up close to the stage, and would say that Tijs was extremely happy, even excited to be at this event! To me, he looked very proud and grateful, not arrogant, that everyone was supporting the music (and yes, to be fair, a lot of it was his music...he created it after all!)
As to why the concert ended at 1:30 a.m., this is the way it happens in LA. ANY DJ could have been up there and once time's up the security would have drug them out feet first if they didn't stop. When I saw Tiesto in Las Vegas Memorial Day weekend, his set was from 3:30 a.m. to 8:15 a.m.! He wasn't scheduled to go that long, but Vegas has no rules, probably why it was selected for NYE!
I really wasn't sure if I would vote Tiesto #1 again or not, but after this event I have no doubt, the answer is YES!
