Guys like David Beckham are unknown to most of America but MJ is popular all over the world and especially in europe.

In the 90's kids all over america and all over europe ran around with his NIKE Air shoes.

The Montreal Canadians were founded in 1909 and won 24 titles since than.

In 40 Super Bowls only 3 teams won 5 times because it is very tough. There are a lot of great teams every year.

In american sports you usually have around 4-6 teams that have serious chances to win the title, not to mention the teams that surprise everyone.

nobody fucking cares about Michael Jordan anymore....especially in Europe and the rest of the world. But this is more of a recent development. Every league goes through a time when one team is dominant. That's why the European Leagues are BETTER....because they don't just have ONE trophy. There's some diversification there...CL, FA Cups, League Cups and the League. Give the EPL a few years and Chelsea won't be running away with anything.

And let's go back to North American sports. Hmm....I seem to remember the Canadiens dominating the NHL throughout the 50s, 60s and especially the 70s when they won 6 of 10 cups in the decade. It's not always BORING when one team dominates. And then there's the Yankees. And howabout the 49ers in the 80s? 4 Superbowls in 7 years was it? Every fucking league has dynasties you moron. They come and go.

every year at least one team dominates one of these leagues but i must say this year has been quite an exception.. i don't remember any situation like this recently where every big league seems to be decided

I'd say american sports are too exciting. Like, every 5 mins there must be some BIG event. The commentators are WOWED by every move. A football team gets an extra yard, they CELEBRATE. It's halftime, everyone's EXCITED for the COMMERCIALS. Every game is REALLY important. Americans might like that, but over here we don't want to be treated like a 16 year old girl getting her first orgasm. Do you get what I'm saying?

completely different set ups. If the nfl was run as just a league you would get the same teams doing well nearly. COlts and the broncos would be up there most seasons. Look at this season, stealers were the last seed i nthe afc.

If premier league broke off into a playoff system to decide the winner, chelsea wouldnt always win it. As was shown when liverpool beat them in a 2-legged match.


Personnally i think both sports are great and loving watching both.

i am tired. i don't feel like reading all these posts. haha. .

just one thing . i respect soccer and how it is a tough sport and everything . but i don't think you soccer guys should be dissing american football. it is a lot tougher than you see on tv. the more "boring" it is on tv, the harder those hits the football guys are getting on the football field. having a 250+ rip cut guy running full speed at you with a metal helmet and 20 pounds of padding on him hit you will hurt a lot. and you have to get up from that too . i will say that american football has 10 times more cases of concussions and broken bones than soccer .

i have to say that american football is one of the more deadly sports right now , along with of course boxing and other sports that involve wild animals.

i would say that shuffleboard can get real nasty at times. especially when you take the stick and start wacking your opponents while he is trying to hit his shot.
