OH!
I have to tell you about us trying to steal the snorkelling equipment.
So the one girl and I made it to the Xel-Ha trip, and part of the trip was the free rental of snorkelling gear so long as we gave a deposit. So we deposited our hotel room key, which if lost cost $10 to replace, and then took off and did some snorkelling.
Well we're busy snorkelling away, swimming with the Barracuda fish and all the other crazy fishies, when suddenly, I was like.. "damn, I better find out the time". So I surface and I yell out to some people on a bridge nearby "what time is it!?". They reply that it's like, 2:23. Our bus was leaving at 2:30 to go to Tulum, so the other girl and I are like "OH FUCK!!"
So we swim out as fast as we can, and we start running around trying to return our towel, our locker key, our life jackets yadda yadda... but the snorkelling gear HAD to go to a certain place if we wanted our deposit back.
Funny thing was though, was the neither one of us knew how to get there... so we are running around the park trying to find this damn station.
After about 15 minutes of frantic running (and being attacked by Iguanas), we decided to fuck it, split the 10 bucks for a new key and just take the gear.
We're about to walk out the front gates, when suddenly 2 mexican women come running up "SENORITAS!!! You have to return those. Where do you think you're going?"
HAHA!
So we tell them we got lost, and thought we were going the right way (we knew we weren't), and so we got sent back in to find the damn place.
By this point it is like.. 2:50, and we're both thinking that our bus left without us, but we are still running (in our bikinis, snorkelling gear in one hand and our beach bags in the other), sweating buckets under the 36 degree sun.
Finally we find the place, get our key back, and head back towards the front gate. On the way, I fell and sliced my toe open, so it's bleeding all over the place, but we keep running. We rush to the bus area, and luckily for us, our bus was waiting for us. They ask "what happened? What took you so long?" I used my toe as an excuse.. (and since it was bleeding so much they were all concerned and were like "oh it's ok".)
That was the only stealing I tried to do and it totally blew up in my face. LOL!
Oh the funnier part was right before we got to our lockers after we got out of the water. Both the other girl and I wear glasses, but before we went snorkelling, we took them off and left them in the lockers.
So when we came out rushing to get back, we ended up running around totally confused and lost, run right INTO THE MIDDLE OF A RESTAURANT (in bikinis and snokelling gear on us), were chased by a waiter "TABLE FOR TWO!??!" LMAO!!! Then we ran out realizing that we didn't see we had run into this restaurant, and proceeded to run around the exact same station THREE TIMES before we realized we were going in circles. OMG!! People thought the two of us were totally cracked out of our minds!!!
